Henry County SPLOST V collections exceeded $50 million dollars during calendar year 2021. This is believed to be the first time a one penny sales tax has broken the $50 million mark during a single year in the county.

Henry County voters approved SPLOST V in November 2019. Collections began in April 2020.

2021 SPLOST Collections

During 2021, the county collected $52.2 million in SPLOST V collections. Collections through year-end total $86.8 million. A one penny local sales tax in Henry County funds the program.

SPLOST V collections continue until March 31, 2025, or until the county reaches the estimated collections, whichever occurs first. Henry County estimated the SPLOST V program would collect $204 million over a five-year period.

A chart of monthly collections is available on the county SPLOST department webpage. Select “SPLOST collections” then “SPLOST V Collections” underneath the home tab.
