The new Chick-fil-A, planned in the Union Grove area, features a dual-lane drive-thru. The larger drive-thru is standard practice on all new Chick-fil-A’s to facilitate more vehicles. The variance request was necessary to best support the dual-lane drive-thru and site parking.

Moving Henry Forward reported in October that Chick-fil-A is planning a Locust Grove location. The company requested from the city and received a similar variance to reduce the front setback. Likewise, the Locust Grove variance helps to support the larger drive-thru. Construction should start this year.
