Alta Bridges began construction in 2021. The 25-acre property is located at 205 Bridges Road in McDonough. The Henry County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on May 4, 2023.

The apartment complex has 250 units. They have a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom units. Rent starts at about $1,700 per month for one bedroom units. Community amenities include a pool, outdoor fire pits, fitness center, co-working space and club room.

“We are very pleased to officially open Wood Partners’ first development in the McDonough area — Alta Bridges,” said Bennett Sands in a company press release, Managing Director at Wood Partners. “The luxury community offers a wide range of desirable amenities and on-site offerings to cater to the needs of our residents while also providing touches of the Southern charm [found in] McDonough.”

“Alta Bridges aims to provide residents with a quaint community to call home through a perfect balance of small-town charm and luxury living,” added Sands. “With its location just south of downtown Atlanta, we know the property provides the perfect relaxing yet connected way of life for residents looking to put down roots outside of Atlanta.”

Alta Bridges is managed by Wood Residential. Visit www.altabridges.com for more information or to submit a leasing inquiry.

Zoning History

The 25-acre property first received multifamily zoning in 1997. The ’97 zoning had essentially no zoning conditions according to city staff. The property sought a change in zoning conditions in spring 2019. The council approved this update in March 2019.

The 2019 conditions allowed up to 250 units. Wood Partners purchased the property in 2021.
