Avila Construction broke ground in May 2020 on a new apartment complex in Locust Grove. The project, titled Station 75, is located at 1301 Academic Parkway accessed off Bethlehem Road.
The 34.62 acre property was rezoned to planned development (PD) in 2000 as part of the larger Eagles Brooke development. Zoning conditions placed on the development at the time stipulate multifamily housing shall not exceed 30% of the overall number of units.
When complete, Station 75 will include 272 units offering a mixture of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units. Each unit is required to have a minimum square footage of 950 sq ft.
Avila is an Atlanta-based real estate, construction and property management company with apartment holdings throughout the metropolitan area. The company built the existing Eagle’s Brooke apartments in 2009 with 248 units.
Planned amenities for the development include a club room and indoor / outdoor fitness center. Other amenities include a swimming pool, grilling area, bocce ball court, dog park, and billiards room. Finally, electric vehicle charging stations will be provided.
The estimated completion date for the project is December 2021.
