Henry County commissioners approved a set of stormwater improvements on Tuesday night. The projects cover four roadways throughout the county.
The total cost of all projects is $1,306,157.75. The projects are funded through Henry County Stormwater.
The contracts were awarded as part of the meeting’s consent agenda and passed without discussion.
Chestnut Lake Drive
The first contract, for drainage replacement on Chestnut Lake Drive, was awarded to Summit Construction & Development LLC of Stone Mountain, GA in the amount of $216,566.20. Chestnut Lake Drive is located in Chestnut Lake subdivision off Jodeco Road in district II.
South Laney Road
The second contract, for drainage replacement on South Laney Road, was also awarded to Summit Construction & Development in the amount of $88,432.50. South Laney Road is located between Laney Road and South Ola Road in district I.
Speer Road
The third contract covers four pipe crossings for replacement on Speer Road in district V. The contract was awarded to Southeastern Site Development of Newnan, GA for $596,853.02.
The work on Speer Road will also require the relocation of utilities by Henry County Water Authority at a cost of $55,718.83.
Woodstown Road
Finally, the fourth contract is for drainage replacement on Woodstown Road on the border of district I and district III. The contract was awarded to Summit Construction & Development for $348,587.20.
All resolutions include the authorization for the chair and / or county manager to approve change orders up to $50,000.
