Georgia DOT has awarded a contract for milling and resurfacing along state route 155. The project extends between John Frank Ward Blvd in McDonough and the Henry / DeKalb County line at Panola Road in Fairview.

The maintenance work was awarded to E R Snell Contractor, Inc. for $5,084,073.84. The project completion date is November 30, 2019.

I-75 Resurfacing Delayed (again)

Bids to resurface I-75 between state route 155 / exit 216 and state route 36 / exit 201 were received for a second time by Georgia DOT. The project was not awarded after the only bid received was $18,020,959.50 to resurface the southbound lanes.

The first round of bidding in August received a bid for $39 million to resurface both directions of the interstate. That bid was rejected and GDOT split the project into two contracts.

A resurfacing project for the northbound lanes will be bid out in February. It will be announced in March if that contract is awarded.
