NAACP Parade Happening on Saturday, Feb. 8, in McDonough

The Henry County NAACP is hosting its annual MLK Day Parade, now being held as the Black History Month parade, on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 10 am. It had to be rescheduled because of winter winter.

The parade takes place in downtown McDonough. Participants will begin to line-up at 9 am before the 10 am start.

The Henry County NAACP shared the following about the event:

Henry County….we’re back! Join us for our Black History Month Parade. This event is taking the place of our MLK Parade due to the inclement weather on January 20th. So, if you signed up to participate in the Parade or had planned on being a spectator, we want to see you on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 9 am for line up, the Parade kicks off at 10 am sharp! This Black History Month Parade is one that you don’t want to miss, and it will go down as one of the best in Henry County, Georgia’s History! Don’t meet us there, beat us there!!!

The parade route starts at the Henry County Academy for Advanced Studies. Then, it proceeds down John Frank Ward Blvd to the McDonough Square. It returns to the academy on Keys Ferry Street.
