The Georgia House approved resolutions Thursday to honor the Henry County Solicitor’s office, Henry County District Attorney’s office and Haven House in recognition of their work on behalf of crime victims and survivors. Haven House is a local non-profit organization serving survivors of domestic violence.

On February 5, 2025, “Stand with Survivors Day,” Victim Advocates from the Henry County Solicitor-General’s Office, Henry County District Attorney’s Office and Haven House were honored with a resolution at the State’s Capitol to recognize the hard work each agency puts forth in providing assistance and services to crime victims and survivors.

The Henry County Office of the Solicitor-General is responsible for prosecuting misdemeanor crimes on behalf of the State of Georgia and citizens of Henry County. The Victim Services Division is designed to assist crime victims throughout the various stages of the judicial process. Each case involving a victim is assigned to a victim advocate who will inform victims of their rights, resources and provide additional assistance as needed.

The Solicitor-General’s Office is proud to support and seek justice for crime victims and survivors. The success of this mission is strengthened by both our local community and statewide partners. At the time of publication, the resolutions were not yet uploaded to the state assembly website. For a look who represents Henry County at the State Capitol, check out my article here.
