State lawmakers returned to the Capitol this week to start the 2025 session. Several new members to the house represent portions of Henry County. In total, four senators and six representatives make up the Henry County delegation. Here’s a look at who’s who for 2025-2026.

The Georgia General Assembly meets for 40 days each year, beginning on the second Monday of January. The session typically concludes around the end of March or first week of April. The only legislation lawmakers are obligated to pass is the state’s annual budget. They also consider a myriad of other topics while in session.
