A new shopping center, entitled the Shops at Indian Creek, is under construction in Locust Grove. A Publix grocery store will be its anchor tenant. We now know the first few restaurants which will join it. Several others are not yet announced.

Construction started in August 2024 on the new Publix grocery store. It is forecast to open during the fourth quarter of 2025.

Shops at Indian Creek Outparcels

The Shops at Indian Creek is located at Georgia 42 and Tanger Blvd. According to reports, Georgia DOT has approved plans for a new traffic light at this intersection. This will not only help motorists going to the new shopping center, but also the general traveling public.

The Publix store will be 48,000 square feet. This is similar to other recently-built locations in Ola, Kelleytown and Dutchtown.

In addition to Publix, the Shops at Indian Creek will have eight outparcels. Dunkin, best known for donuts and coffee, is the first announced tenant. Five more outparcels are either under contract or in negotiations. Those tenants aren’t yet announced. Lastly, two outparcels remain available.

Next, there will be 18,000 square feet for auxiliary retail space. The first tenants who have spaces leased include the following:

  • Great Clips,
  • Osaka Hibachi & Sushi,
  • Pedro’s Mexican Restaurant,
  • Yas Chicken, and
  • Allure Nail Bar.

Four shops spaces remain available. Dart Retail Advisors of Marietta is handling leasing information for the shopping center.
