Construction work will be starting soon to construct a new window factory in Locust Grove. The new manufacturing facility for Renewal by Andersen will be on Price Drive.

State officials announced the project in January. Now, the company has received their first permits to begin site grading.

Renewal by Andersen

Renewal by Andersen will manufacture household windows located within a new 1.1 million square foot building. The company is investing $420 million dollars — the largest corporate investment in Henry County history. Their facility will hire for 900 positions when complete.

The company recently received their first permits to begin site grading. The 77-acre property is on Price Drive located on the west side of I-75. Right now, Price Drive is a dirt road. Improving the roadway is part of the project. Henry County’s first community improvement district will help fund the road improvement.

To facilitate the site construction and road improvements, the current Price Drive must first close. Price Drive runs between Bethlehem Road and Bill Gardner Parkway. The contractor will communicate with the public at least 14 days before the road closes. When the new road is complete, it will be open for public use.

Renewal by Andersen expects to begin manufacturing operations in 2025.

Andersen Building Renderings

In addition, Locust Grove is considering approval of building renderings. The city council will consider voting on them at their next meeting. That meeting will be on Monday, August 7. The proposed building facades consist of tilt-up concrete, aluminum storefront glazing and industrial docking bays in neutral earth tones. Decorative elements include patterned tilt-up concrete on all four facades and trellis-style sunshades.
