
Southern Gateway at Lambert Farms in McDonough has a new tenant. Ecolab held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, November 12. The company is opening a new product support center and distribution facility.
Southern Gateway at Lambert Farms is located off highway 42 and King Mill Road. The development began construction in 2018.
New Support Center
Ecolab will invest $16 million dollars and create over 60 new jobs. The company will be leasing a new 350k square foot building.
Ecolab first began operations in Henry County in 1988. They have operated a manufacturing facility off highway 155 since then. The company produces cleaning and hygiene products. In addition, they employ over one-hundred employees at the site.
“We at HCDA are excited about this new investment by Ecolab. For many years Ecolab has manufactured products in Henry County that help keep all of us safe. With the recent events of COVID-19, their operations in Henry County are even more critical. We are proud they continue to choose Henry,†said Chairman for the Henry County Development Authority Pierre Clements.
Southern Gateway
Southern Gateway at Lambert Farms has plans to build four buildings. Presently, Building B is home to Purple mattress and Incora. The building measures 1.1 million square feet of space. It recently sold for $103 million dollars in September.
Ecolab will occupy the 350k sq ft Building C. Another small building will measure 275k square feet. Finally, the largest building will have 1.6 million square feet. This building will be one of the largest warehouses in Henry County when complete. The future building site is immediately adjacent to highway 42.
