New raised pavement markers (RPM’s) will be installed along Interstate 75 as part of the ongoing resurfacing project. The markers significantly improve visibility for drivers during nighttime driving and during poor weather conditions.

Contractors will be installing the markers on northbound and southbound lanes between SR 155 / mile 216 and SR 36 / mile 201 this week starting Saturday, November 2. Weather permitting, the installation is estimated to be completed by Saturday, November 10. Contractors will be working between 8 pm and 6 am nightly.

Motorists are advised to slow down and watch for work crews along the interstate. Crews will utilize a moving lane closure to install the markers and may be present along either direction of the interstate.
