JWA Ventures and Publix Super Markets have made the official announcement about a new grocery store coming to the Ola community in a press release published this week. The property, located at the northeast corner of state route 81 and North Ola Road, was rezoned to mixed use in April 2019.
Publix is the country’s largest employee owned company with over twelve hundred stores in seven southeastern states. The new shopping center includes a 48,000 square foot Publix, approximately 22,000 square feet of additional commercial space, and three out parcels.
Construction is set to commence in late 2019, with a targeted opening in the first quarter of 2021.
According to Dart Retail, confirmed tenants for the site include Great Clips, Lush Nail Bar, and an undisclosed national quick service restaurant. Remaining commercial units are available for leasing.
The 103.5 acre property will also include a new half-acre lot subdivision with 104 lots and home sizes starting at 2,400 square feet. Land along the highway 81 frontage, eastward to its intersection with Keys Ferry Road, will be preserved for future commercial development.
