Several new hotels will soon be in Locust Grove. A new Marriott dual-brand hotel is under construction near Chick-fil-A. A second dual-brand hotel with Hilton brands will be building off Market Place Blvd. Finally, a Best Western is also planning to build in the city.
Three New Hotels in Locust Grove
The Henry Reporter previously reported in August 2023 on the Springhill Suites and Towneplace Suites dual-brand hotel. It is now under construction off Bandy Parkway. This is on the west side of I-75.
In 2022, a Home2 Suites by Hilton submitted plans for the city’s review. The proposed location was 680 Market Place Blvd. This is immediately behind (west of) the Fairfield Inn. Now, the Hilton property will instead be a dual-brand location. It will feature both Tru and Home2 Suites. The applicant, Golden Eye Hospitality of Stockbridge, GA, has submitted updated renderings for the city’s review. The city council will consider approving those architectural renderings at their June 2 meeting.
Dual-brand hotels have seen a noticeable increase in recent years. The dual-brand property allows owners to offer two different room types catering to different end users. According to a March 2025 press release by Hilton, they have over 100 dual-brand properties under development. The Tru and Home2 Suites pair is the most-common for Hilton properties. It represents 22% of dual-brand properties within the Hilton brand globally. One such Tru and Home2 Suites dual-brand property is located near Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
Finally, Best Western intends to build in Locust Grove. That’s according to a recent presentation by the city. The proposed location will be 670 Market Place Blvd. This is behind (west of) Moe’s and Papa John’s. More details about the Best Western are not yet available.
