LongHorn Steakhouse in Locust Grove

Rare Hospitality International, Inc. of Orlando, Florida has submitted building plans for a new LongHorn Steakhouse in the city of Locust Grove. The group is LongHorn’s parent company. The new restaurant will be located at the southwest corner of State Route 42 and Tanger Blvd.

LongHorn Steakhouse has one existing location in Henry County. They are located on Jonesboro Road near I-75 exit 221. Locust Grove would be the company’s second location in the county. Others are in Conyers, Covington, Griffin and Mt. Zion.

A new Publix grocery store is presently under construction at the intersection. Construction began in August 2024. The store is estimated to open in the fourth quarter of 2025.

In addition to Publix, the thirty-acre site has space for eight outparcels and various shops. Most of the outparcels have not yet been announced. The Henry Reporter shared in January a Dunkin was reportedly slated to build there.

Shops Space

There will be 18,000 square feet of shop space. This can support up to ten businesses. The following businesses have leased space:

  • Great Clips,
  • Osaka Japanese Steakhouse,
  • Pedro’s Mexican Restaurant,
  • Yas Chicken, and
  • Allure Nail Bar (leased two units).

Four shop spaces remain available. Dart Retail Advisors of Marietta is handling leasing information for the shopping center.
