West Village Parkway will be repaved after approval by the Board of Commissioners on March 20. The roadway is located in district V connecting Fairview Road and Forest Parkway / I-675 exit 5.

The repaving will cost $321,878.65 and allow for a smoother travel corridor until the future widening project is complete. The roadway is in rough shape with extensive potholes and remnants of patchwork. Funds will be used from the project’s SPLOST IV account.

West Village Parkway is in design work and right of way acquisition for a future widening project. $4.2 million was budgeted within SPLOST IV for the project, with an estimated $1.4 million covering design and right of way acquisition. Recent documents from the Atlanta Regional Commission estimate construction at $8 million. Additional funding will be necessary in a future SPLOST to fully fund construction.
