For fans of the Canadian coffeehouse Tim Horton’s, there’s good news for you. There will soon be a location of the coffee and donut shop in Henry County.
Tim Horton’s in Henry County
Tim Horton’s opened its first location in Ontario, Canada in 1964. They expanded to the United States in 1985. Today, their website reports over 5,500 locations in 13 countries. The first Tim Horton’s in Georgia opened in Columbus in 2023. Since then, a few locations have opened in metro Atlanta. They include Midtown Atlanta across the street from the Varsity, Fairburn and Jonesboro. Other locations are now open or coming soon in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Newnan and Suwanee.
The first Henry County location will be at 2700 Highway 20 West, Hampton. This is near Oakland Road. It is between McDonough and Hampton. The owner and franchisee, Royal Seven, is also opening a new convenience store at the location. They received a building permit for Tim Horton’s in October 2024. Most recently, they received a sign permit on March 31.
Royal Seven owns several convenience stores around Henry County. They are also the franchisee for the Tim Horton’s in Suwanee. According to their website, they have a second Tim Horton’s planned in Henry County. It will be on East Lake Parkway. They own property at the northwest corner of East Lake Pkwy and Springdale Road. Henry County approved a commercial rezoning request there in May 2023.
