
The Henry County BOC and McDonough council have meetings this week. Here is your look at meetings happening the week of March 31, 2025.
On a special note, this week is the last week of the 2025 legislative session at the State Capitol. The Georgia General Assembly will convene for legislative days 39 and 40 on Wednesday and Friday of this week. Afterward, state lawmakers will be done for the year.
Meetings the Week of March 31, 2025
Henry County BOC
First, the Henry County Board of Commissioners meet on Tuesday, April 1, at 9 am. The board meets at the county admin building on Henry Parkway in McDonough.
Agenda items include purchasing playground equipment for North Mt. Carmel Park. The board will also consider a memorandum of understanding with the Henry County Water Authority for sewer service at the park. The sewer service is necessary to serve the newly-built North Mt. Carmel Recreation Center.
Other agenda items include the utility relocation cost estimate from Central Georgia EMC for the Burg Road paving project. The BOC awarded that project contract in January.
Lastly, the board has budget presentation for the upcoming FY 2026 budget. The 2026 budget year begins on July 1, 2026. The BOC traditionally adopts the county’s budget in May each year.

McDonough Council
Next, the McDonough council meets on Thursday, April 3, at 6 pm. The McDonough council meets at McDonough city hall. As of Monday evening, an agenda for the meeting was not yet published.
