The Georgia High School Sports Association (GHSA) state basketball Elite Eight 2025 is on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 25-26, this week. Henry County has four teams who advanced from the second round.
State Basketball Elite Eight 2025
Boys Teams
Four Henry County boys teams competed in the second round. Here were the results:
- 5A: Duchtown 85 at Sequoyah 72.
- 4A: SW DeKalb 70 at McDonough 78.
- 4A: St. Pius X 59 at Union Grove 78.
- 3A: Luella 50 at Cedar Grove 56.
Moving onto the Elite Eight are Dutchtown, McDonough and Union Grove. Their Elite Eight matches on Wednesday, February 26, include the following:
- 5A: Dutchtown at Lee County.
- 4A: McDonough at Westminster.
- 4A: Union Grove at Pace Academy.
Girls Teams
Two Henry County girls teams competed in the second round. Here were those results:
- 4A: Stockbridge 24 at Marist 56.
- 3A: Sandy Creek 57 at Luella 58.
Luella will now travel to Fayette County on Tuesday, February 25, for the Elite Eight.
