Henry County fans of Whataburger can rejoice! An opening date has been set for the county’s first location. The Jodeco Road location opens on Monday, December 16, according to Because We Care Henry County. The restaurant is located off I-75 in the Bridges at Jodeco development.

A second Whataburger is coming soon in Union Grove. That location on East Lake Pkwy is also under construction.

Whataburger opened their first Georgia location in November 2022. It’s in Kennesaw. Since then, several other locations have followed. There are presently 27 Whataburgers in Georgia. This includes upcoming spots like Jodeco Road and East Lake.

The Jodeco Road Whataburger is located at 2135 Jodeco Road, Stockbridge. It is near Chick-fil-A, Sprouts and Starbucks. After the grand opening, locations are typically open 24 / 7 / 364 days a year. They are closed on Christmas Day.

The East Lake location does not have an official opening date yet, but it should quickly follow. Construction is nearly complete. That restaurant is at 5905 East Lake Parkway, McDonough. It is west of Taco Bell across from the old Kroger shopping center.

A third Whataburger in Henry County location will be at SR 81 and Lake Dow Road in McDonough. It will occupy one of the new commercial outparcels near Zaxby’s. Construction has an April 2025 estimated start date. Not to be confused with the recent construction beside Subway and Truist Bank, that spot is believed to be a new Burger King.

Franchisee Made to Order Holdings plans to open more than 50 Whataburger locations in the greater Atlanta area by 2028-29. Some locations open now include Conyers, Covington, Fayetteville and Newnan.
