Who has the meats? A new Arby’s has submitted plans to build in Locust Grove. The restaurant will be on Bill Gardner Parkway near I-75.
The city council approved architectural renderings for the project in July. The property had an existing commercial zoning to support its construction.
New Arby’s in Locust Grove
The new Arby’s will be located at 4939 Bill Gardner Parkway. This spot is east of Wendy’s and the medical office building. It will be between the office building and driveway leading up to Walmart.
The new Arby’s will be similar to other locations with a drive-thru lane. The building facade is primarily brick with red metal canopies.
Before construction could commence, the council had to review proposed architectural renderings for the project. This process is unique to Locust Grove compared to the rest of the county. The council approved these renderings at their July 3 meeting. A timeline was not immediately available when work will begin.
In addition, the council approved renderings for another retail building on Marketplace Blvd. The building will be next to (north of) Express Oil Change. It has space for two tenants. There’s no word right now on possible tenants.
Across the street, a new dentist’s office will be opening next to Moe’s. Gabino’s is also nearly complete with their new building.
