Locust Grove will soon have double the scattered, smothered, and covered love as Waffle House looks to build a second location at I-75 exit 212 / Bill Gardner Parkway. The new store will be located southwest of the interchange adjacent to the under construction La Quinta Inn hotel.

The property is zoned C-3 (heavy commercial) as part of the Bandy development and no public hearings are required for the project. The city council will review the proposed architectural plans during its workshop meeting on Monday, June 17, at 6 pm and consider approving the plans on July 1.

The planned building exterior will match the Waffle House at 1305 Georgia 20 West in McDonough, with red brick comprising the majority of the building. Large windows with the iconic yellow Waffle House awning will wrap around the front and side of the building.
