The Stockbridge and McDonough councils have meetings this week. Here’s your look at meetings during the week of April 28, 2025.

April is a five-Tuesday month. This causes there to be an extra week before the next county commissioners meeting. The county commissioners and county zoning board both meet next week.

Meetings the Week of April 28, 2025

Stockbridge Council

The Stockbridge city council meets on Tuesday, April 29, at 6 pm. The council meets at Stockbridge City Hall on North Henry Blvd.

The agenda includes quarterly reports from the city’s various departments. The council will also consider renewing the city’s grounds maintenance contract. Stockbridge has maintained its current contract since July 2019. The estimated annual cost for July 2025 through July 2026 is $400 thousand.

Lastly, the city will consider establishing a budget for the city’s RedSpeed camera revenues. This budget identifies how the city plans to spend the camera revenue. State law requires the camera revenues to be spent on public safety purposes. The speed cameras were a hot topic during the recent legislative session; however, state lawmakers adjourned before making any changes.
