HENRY COUNTY, GA – June 13, 2025 – I am writing today to let everyone know that The Henry Reporter is suspending its news operations. Over the last eight and a half years, countless Henry Countians have read my updates to learn more about our community. To each of you, I say thank you.
I started a Facebook page in 2017 to talk about upcoming road projects. Since then, there’s been 1,868 news articles. This website led to opportunities I never expected. There are numerous local business owners and community members whom I now consider friends. I captured unique moments in Henry County history, such as the Dutch royal visit in June 2024. Some of my most-read articles of all time have been about the new grocery stores, both Publix and Kroger. New restaurants, especially Chick-fil-A, were also favorites among the community.
Ultimately, the business has not earned enough revenue to create long-term sustainability. I am suspending operations now so I can reduce expenses. To my current paid subscribers, you will all receive a pro-rated partial refund of your most recent payment. The refund process will begin immediately. Please reach out via email if you have any questions or concerns.
Once again, thank you to the community for your support over the years. Henry County’s history is happening in real time. There are numerous major road projects set to begin in the near future. The school district’s first STEM high school is under construction promising new opportunities for our students when it opens in 2027. Various community events are happening every month. There’s a plethora of activities to do in Henry County. I share my best to anyone who picks up the pen to start writing and to document our community’s history.
Thank you,
Clayton Carte
