The Hampton council and Henry County Zoning Advisory Board are meeting this week. Here is your look at meetings happening during the week of April 7, 2025.

Hampton Council
The Hampton city council meets on Tuesday, April 8, at 6:30 pm. The council meets at Hampton city hall.
Agenda items include a presentation about the Henry County Transportation Safety Action Plan. The council will also consider various water and sewer service agreements. Lastly, the council will set their estimated rollback millage rate for 2025. This estimate is a new provision in 2025 following the passage of House Bill 581 last year.

McDonough Planning Commission
One more meeting which typically occurs on the second Tuesday each month is the McDonough Planning Commission. This is the city’s equivalent to the county zoning advisory board. There are no agenda items for the planning commission to consider, so the city has cancelled that meeting.
Henry County Zoning Advisory Board
The Henry County ZAB meets on Thursday, April 10, at 6:30 pm. They meet at the county admin building in McDonough.
The zoning board will consider two rezoning requests. They are located off Willow Lane, near Jonesboro Road, and Luella Road south of Hampton-Locust Grove Road. Two other rezoning requests, for a subdivision off Pate’s Creek Road and office off Airline Road, were postponed to a later date. View the agenda on the county website.
