Council Elections 2025

The vacancy that Mr. Bryant filled was created by the resignation of Sheila Barlow. Because there was less than one year remaining in her term, the council could appoint someone to fill the position. Mr. Bryant’s term is through December 31, 2025. If he so chooses, he may run in the November 2025 municipal election to seek a full four-year term.

In addition to Mr. Bryant’s seat, seats held by Devlin Cleveland and Willie Turner will be up for re-election. Mayor Tarpley’s term is also expiring this December. The mayor and council members, if they decide to run again, and any other candidates will qualify in August for the November election.
