Magnolia Tea Room Opening This Month in Downtown McDonough

Magnolia Tea Room is looking to bring a new elegance to downtown McDonough when they open in January 2025. The new business will be one block from the square.

The Magnolia Tea Room is a forthcoming tea establishment on Keys Ferry Street. According to their Facebook page, they promise to offer a sophisticated and welcoming space for tea lovers, complemented by a sizable event space available for future rentals.

The restaurant’s address is 37 Keys Ferry Street. This is across the street from Planters Lofts. They have not yet scheduled their grand opening.

Operating hours will be closed on Monday, Tuesday to Thursday 11:00 am-6:00 pm, Friday 11:00 am-9:00 pm, and Saturday to Sunday 10:30 am-6:00 pm.

The Magnolia Tea Room is a unique gathering space located in the heart of McDonough. Created in memory of the owner’s grandmother, mother, and twin sister, the Magnolia Tea Room celebrates family and tradition with a modern Southern twist.

The tea room offers an elegant yet welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy an array of carefully curated teas, including signature blends like Southern Spice Magnolia Chai and Blueberry Cobbler Herbal. 

In addition to tea, our seasonal menu features locally inspired treats that capture the flavors of the South. With warm hospitality and attention to detail, the Magnolia Tea Room is a place to create lasting memories and savor the simple pleasures of life.



Owner Marsha E. Simon shared a little more about herself with The Henry Reporter. Though not a Georgia native, she has made Henry County her home and a canvas for her entrepreneurial vision. Marsha brings a wealth of business acumen and creativity to this new venture. Her experience includes being the owner of multiple UPS Stores and a thriving commercial real estate company. Recently, she was honored with the role of Co-Chair for the 2025 Women with Heart Luncheon at Morehouse School of Medicine.
