
Henry County has announced two commissioners, Neat Robinson and Kevin Lewis, will host town halls during October 2024. In addition, the ongoing local bus stop study has a workshop. All events are open to the public! The various events will be on October 21-23.
October 2024 Town Halls
District 2 Town Hall
First, District 2 Commissioner Neat Robinson has a town hall on Monday, October 21. It will start at 6 pm. The location will be Stockbridge First United Methodist Church. It is at 4863 North Henry Blvd in Stockbridge. The topics of discussion will be Planning & Zoning and Development.
Henry County district 2 represents north Henry County. Portions of the Dutchtown, Stockbridge and Woodland communities are in the district.
District 5 Town Hall
Secondly, District 5 Commissioner Kevin Lewis will host a town hall on Wednesday, October 23. His town hall will likewise begin at 6 pm. It is at the Henry County Administration Building located on Henry Parkway in McDonough. The topics of discussion will be SPLOST, transportation SPLOST and the upcoming SPLOST VI Referendum.
District 5 represents west and central Henry County. Portions of the Dutchtown, Hampton, Luella and McDonough communities are in the district.
Bus Stop Workshop
Finally, the local bus stop study will host a workshop. The bus stop study is an ongoing effort looking at public art and pedestrian amenities along the county’s upcoming bus route. The bus route will connect McDonough and Stockbridge starting in 2025.
The community workshop will be on Tuesday, October 22, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. It too will be at the Henry County Admin Building. This is the study’s third community workshop. Others were held in April and July of this year.
