This week, Henry County approved design contracts for three road widening projects in the “Central Henry” area. That’s a name being given to the Jonesboro Road and Jodeco Road area around I-75. Separate from these three road projects, numerous other improvements in the area are either under construction, buying right of way, or in design work.
Speaking of projects soon to start construction, construction bids have closed on the Rock Quarry Road widening project. The low bid was $35.3 million. The county should consider awarding the construction bid within the next month.
