Happy Monday! Today, Henry County Government held the ribbon cutting for the new North Mt. Carmel Recreation Center. The recreation center offers two basketball courts, a fitness area and multiple meeting rooms. Photos from today’s event will be uploaded soon on our website.
Last week, Henry County rezoned twenty-one acres on Jonesboro Road at Chambers Road. The applicant, Pulte Homes, intends to build a townhome development at the location. The project’s zoning conditions stipulate the builder cannot receive building permits until 2027. This is to allow more time for the Jonesboro Road widening project.
